Carlsbad

Carlsbad boasts diverse neighborhoods ranging from the planned communities of La Costa and Aviara to the downtown Village, the Barrio and what is known as Olde Carlsbad.  The latter was the first part of Carlsbad to be settled and it features homes that range from 1950’s cottages and bungalows to elegant mansions on the hill overlooking the ocean. Hosp Grove, a grove of trees relatively untouched by development and now designated by the city for recreational use, is located in the northwest quadrant, along with the Buena Vista and Agua Hedionda Lagoon. The resort community of La Costa is home to the world-famous Omni La Costa Resort & Spa while Aviara is home to the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort and Four Seasons timeshares which border the Batiquitos Lagoon trail.
